In 2019, The City of Armadale commissioned Skate Sculpture to facilitate a series of community consultations to create a concept design for the Gwynne Park Skate Park that would best accommodate the requirements of the local skate, scooter and BMX riders. Skate Sculpture then created the subsequent detailed design that can be described as a hybrid flow park with an assortment of street and transition elements. The skatepark is accompanied by a parkour course designed by Skate Sculpture, with landscaping and amenities designed internally by the City of Armadale.
In 2021, Skate Sculpture partnering with Phase Three were awarded the construction of the facility, which was completed in November 2021. The 610m2 skate facility includes a 750mm high slappy bank with interfacing manual pad, flat rail, three stair with across down rails, 900h quarter-pipe, A-frame, horseshoe bowl with interfacing volcano plus Perth’s largest pimple.
